Originally proposed in 2022, Splatoon Fanon came to fruition in 2025 to allow Splatoon series fans to document and expand their fan creations, head-canons, and other creative works. In part, this was a collaborative effort from canon site Inkipedia's staff to ensure that people contributing fan material could still have a place to publish their work without interfering with the formal material. It also seeks to engage other creatives to share their work in a unique format, allowing for a more standardized, official presentation. We welcome all walks of life and a wide variety of Splatoon related works to celebrate this wonderful franchise.

Splatoon Fanon has no association to Nintendo, and does not claim that any content here represents their formal vision for the franchise, nor impedes their ability to promote or sell official material.
