Namespaces should parallel the same namespaces as seen in [[Special:AllPages]], and are generally the broad subject of the page. Some examples include <code>character</code>, <code>gear</code>, and <code>location</code>. The page subject is the intended name/destination of the page. This is the default display name of the link, but it can be altered by changing the fourth variable.

The following line will link to the page "Michael" in the "Character:" namespace, and the link will appear as "Mike":
